BioBawn'n'raised in Huntsville, AL, the Rocket City, Space Capital of the Universe. I love it, but when I was about 24 I was bored with my life. My boyfriend of 7 years, Matt, proposed to me and we decided to get married. Only, he had to head off immediately for grad school....and he ended up going to the University of Oklahoma. So we moved to Norman. He did the 2 years and got his masters, I worked insane hours at a very stressful start-up computer company. We wanted to move up to Oklahoma City and soon discovered it was as affordable to just buy a house as it was to rent anywhere. So I bought a house. About a year 1/2 later, we BOTH got laid-off from our jobs and then I found out I was pregnant. It has been one hell of a roller-coaster ride ever since.
I started writing this journal when I was about to turn 30 and I had had my first baby, a boy, River.
Since then I had another, Cedar. I am now 38.
Matt and I are very weird, and we love it. Like all couples, we piss each other off sometimes so you might see me bitch about him in here. But he is the light of my life, my true love. We just celebrated 13 awesome years of being married.
OK, bonus info. I used to be a dancer (that's ballet & tap etc., you perv, not pole*) and a dance teacher. Been a Space Camp Counselor. That all was enough to show me that I can't stand kids (except for my own). I have a Writing degree from U of Tennesee, and while I have been a published poet that don't pay the bills...so when I work "for real" I am a Technical Writer, which I love, but right now I am home with the boys and I do freelance marketing writing.
